HEZRON GICHOHI – ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR

I have worked in the accounts department for the past 7 years and currently hold the position of an Accounts Administrator. I deal with stock entries, billing customers as well as handling any query regarding the same. I assist in filling government deductions, making company expense entries and receipts entries among others. With the determination of our Directors I foresee the company climbing great heights.

CARLOS KILONZO – ASSITANT ACCOUNTS ADMINISTRATOR

Working at Asterisk as the Assistant Accounts Administrator for 3 years, I completed my undergraduate at Vision Institute of Professional Studies. As part of my daily duties, I carry out the cheque entries -both receipts and payments- ensure marketing entries of local suppliers are up to date and handle their invoices and statement reconciliation of accounts. I also fill in the company’s VAT returns and prepare monthly petty cash reports. At Asterisk I greatly admire the team work as the management body considers the opinions of all staff and consults us when making major decisions. Working for Asterisk has boosted my confidence and taught me how to multi-task. My time has been spent wisely learning about other areas in the company.

MARY WANGUI- LOGISTICS ADMINISTRATOR

Being a Logistic Administrator is no joke. I prepare shipment documents and ensure they are in compliance with customs rules and regulations, coordinate with overseas carrier, shipping agent and freight forwarder, liaise with clearing agents on cargo clearance with customs, processing of payments for suppliers, preparing letters of credit and marine insurance covers and ensure efficiency in the company’s imports logistics system as a whole.

MARGARET MWIKALI- CREDIT RESOURCE ADMINISTRATOR

Handed the task of debt collecting, petty cash, control unsold goods that are out of the office and a couple of other duties, I sit as the Credit Resource Administrator at Asterisk. I admire the working ethic and aggression in achieving goals set in the company. Working at Asterisk has improved my public relation skills and professionalism.

IT Department

VICTOR MWANGI – IT ADMINISTRATOR

In Asterisk I have worked as the I.T Administrator for over four years. Maintaining servers, coming to rescue during system disasters, ensuring all back-ups are done, recommending investments in hardware and software that will benefit the company are just a few of my tasks at asterisk. As a company we will always stay competitive as our directors are quick to note technological change and implement latest technology to monitor the company. At Asterisk I have learnt how to come up with quick solutions to problems and what I like about the company is that a medical solution for clients is always found in a timely manner be it equipment or consultation.

DENNIS KINYUA – IT ADMINISTRATOR

As the support Admin (I.T department) I assist in maintaining the company’s network, servers and security systems. My confidence has really been boosted by working at Asterisk as I have overcome challanges and enjoy the environment where by employees are able to showcase their potential and grow professionally.

Operations & Inventory

JAVAN OTIENO- MANAGER OPERATIONS AND INVENTORY

Working in Asterisk for about 15 years I am currently the Operations and Inventory Manager. I am responsible for keeping an eye on stock levels, re-ordering stock when necessary and ensuring all furniture in the office is in good condition and replaced if need be. I have witnessed Asterisk growing form a company that once sold just disposable items to the firm grip it has in selling and distributing various medical equipment. Staff training, a well-managed environment and emphasis on team work has brought us where we are today and I am positive the company will still reach greater heights.

 As the assistance store keeper I ensure goods are well kept and the store is in good condition at all time. In my two years at Asterisk I have learnt how to work with different people and have really sharpened my ‘people skills.’ Due to the pleasant relation between staff and Directors I foresee a bright future for this company.

I have worked for Asterisk for about a year as a support staff member where filing and catering for staff daily basic needs is part of my portfolio. I love the fact that all members work in peace and harmony and directors seem to have a close bond with all staff members.

JANET OLOO – STAFF SERVICE

No one can go a day without a cup of coffee and my role as the staff server is to ensure tea/coffee is served on time and providing support wherever needed. I assist in collecting cheques and running errands whenever required. Working at Asterisk has injected an interest in technology and I believe I am better than what I was previously in terms of technological concerns. I do foresee growth due to the hard working and dedicated staff at Asterisk.

As the receptionist I handle all incoming and outgoing calls and I am the first point of contact of any walk in client. When I talk to clients personally at the office or over the phone they are satisfied with our service and pleased to work closely with Asterisk. Working in this firm has developed my communication skills and I see Asterisk reaching great heights as the current demand for a suitable and efficient health care provider in Kenya requires efficiency and Asterisk provides just that!
